Four Mile Ride

from A$650.00

LIMITED RELEASE FINE ART PRINT

Taken on the ride into Four Mile Hut in the NSW Snowy Mountains as the clouds gather overhead.

Part of an ongoing project celebrating the heritage of mountain horsemanship in the Australian high country.  Connecting the past and present in the hope that connection will preserve this legacy into the future.

Four Mile hut, was built by Robert Hughes in 1937, and used as a mining outpost from Kiandra. The old bushman would ride, fish and pan for gold. Four Mile Hut was the oldest surviving hut on the old Kiandra gold fields until it was destroyed the 2020 bushfires. The hut was faithfully rebuilt and now sits alongside the charred ruins of the old hut, complete with the picture of Bob and his mountain pony on the mantle.

Your chance to own a unique Australian artwork. These prints works are shot documenting riding expeditions the Australian Snowy Mountains and high country. This project explores a world beyond the comfort and confines of modern life, offering a glimpse into a vanishing legacy of horsemanship and bushcraft in the Australian bush.

Limited editions of 100 in each format. Signed and numbered.

Note: Price of limited release prints may increase with later editions.

Ratio 2:3 Standard.

Framed Prints come bordered with white acid free mat boards for a professional elegant finish, in either a contemporary box frame or country frame. See all frame styles below.
