The Track
OPEN EDITION
Ratio 2:3 Standard.
In the mountains ‘the track’ is more than a line on a map, more than the trail you follow. The track offers a way through seemingly impenetrable bush and impassable terrain. The track provides water and safe passage in a landscape that can easily deny all. Knowledge of the old stock tracks has passed in an unbroken chain of custody stretching as far back as European settlement and sometimes even further. For the first pioneers and drovers into the mountains often followed pathways shown to them by aboriginal people.
Taken in the tall Mountain Ash forests around the Bogong High Plains. Part of an ongoing project celebrating a vanishing legacy horsemanship in the beautiful landscape of Australia’s High Country.
Framed Canvases come set in a stunning Tasmanian Oak float frame.
Framed Prints come bordered with white acid free mat boards for a professional elegant finish, in either a contemporary box frame or country frame. See all frame styles below.
