An incredible encounter with this beautiful brumby stallion on top of Tantangara Mountain in the Snowy Mountains. I was staring at him and he staring right back at me. I had been shooting the view of the mountains so didn’t have a telephoto lens on. But he was so close I didn’t need one. He was curious and vigilant, with his mares and foals all around us in the trees but he seemed unafraid.
