Where The Snowy Mountain Stockmen Used To Ride
The Crossing Collection
The heritage and traditions of mountain horsemanship are etched in Australian folklore and legend. Though numbers may be dwindling, there are still those for whom the mountains are a way of life.
The Crossing is the first collection from the ongoing documentary project ‘Where The Snowy Mountain Stockmen Used To Ride’
This project explores a world beyond the confines and complexity of the modern world, documenting a vanishing legacy of high country horsemanship and bushcraft in the Snowy Mountains.
This collection captures a plateau crossing in bad weather near Tabletop Creek in the Snowy Mountains, and simple fireside rituals as we stop to let the weather clear.
